Jean’s Dance Studio got the evening going with some fun, wacky dances. How can you not join in???? We really appreciate the staff at Jean’s Dance Studio. They are very fun! Jim Hensen’s Puppet Shows were so clever. He entertained us - kids and adults. We enjoyed food and refreshments, played silly games, read several books...and we achieved our goal of 2,009 pages!

Christmas In The Village - December 12 and 13, 2008
Readers, Inc. made snowman bookmarks with the kids out on the street, gave away tons of free popcorn, enjoyed our first author visit - Jerry Gordinier, retired Principal from Monte Vista High School was at the store signing his new book, Bruce the Spruce. When Saturday was rained out, the puppeteer was invited inside our store, and the evening was saved.

April 4, 2009 Tiny the Tortoise Visits Readers, Inc.  Tiny is a 9 year old African Spur-thighed Tortoise.  Come out and see this huge creature!

Friday, May 8, 2009 Join us from 6:00pm - 8:00pm as we hold the Bostonia Elementary School Book Fair.  This fundraiser will benefit their classroom libraries.  It promises to be a fun and exciting evening!  Your school can sign up for their own fundraising event.  Call or email today!

Friday, May 8, 2009  6-8pm  Come Meet Janie Lancaster, author of Julie & The Lost Fairy Tale.  Each week one chapter of her book has been appearing in the Friday UnionTribune.

Saturday, May 9  Kids decorate a Flower Pot for Mom, then follow the goofy foot prints down the sidewalk to Homeland Florist 8324 La Mesa Blvd. to fill their flower pots.  It's all FREE!
